You need to have at least 4 GCE “O” Level passes or equivalent, which is one of the regulatory requirements for real estate agents. Please note that CEA accepts combined GCE “O” level results taken at not more than two sittings.

Suppose you wish to submit your overseas qualifications or private diplomas for assessment by CEA to determine if you would meet the educational qualification requirement, you may do so through the Approved Course Providers (ACPs) you intend to enroll at, for the RES course. Please note that an administrative fee of $64.20 (inclusive of GST) is payable for each application submitted. You must fill up the CEA Educational Qualification Assessment Request Form and attach all supporting documents, and original documents must be produced for ACPs verification. Please note that CEA will not accept education certificates certified by a notary public as a form of verification proof. If you do not have the original hard copies of the graduation certificates, you must provide a confirmation letter of award/duplicate copy from the issuing institutions/universities.

For bachelor and above qualifications from China, you are required to provide a verification proof from:-

China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information (CDGDC) or China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHSI), if you do not have the original hard copies of your certificate.

For the CEA Educational Qualification Assessment Request Form, it is available at all ACPs. CEA will inform you of the outcome of qualification assessment.

Qualifications assessed to be accepted in-lieu-of 4 GCE “O” Level passes for property agent course registration, property agent examination registration, and registration to be a salesperson, are valid for three years, from the date of CEA’s notification of the acceptance. Please note that a new application has to be re-submitted to CEA for qualification assessment once the three years lapses.

If you do not have GCE “O” level results but have attained WPLN assessment Level five and above, you will be recognized to have met the minimum qualification requirement which is equivariant to 4 GCE “O” level.
